This is a tape with hypoallergenic acrylic glue that dynamically supports better postural positions, prevents harmful ranges of motion and reduces strain on the affected muscle.

Taping services are performed in the office as well as instruction for at home application.

Prenatal Care

Chiropractic care is an important aspect to consider in birth preparation. Regular chiropractic adjustments can help make the mother prepare for safer, easier birthing for both themselves and their babies. As a mother's weight increases, her center of gravity shifts outward and her postural compensations respond accordingly. In addition, the ligament laxity necessary for birthing adds to instability in all of her joints, including her spine and pelvis often resulting in pain. We offer safe, gentle treatments to care for the mother and baby to be.

The Webster Technique (for pregnant women)

The webster technique is a safe means to restore proper pelvic balance and function for pregnant mothers. In expectant mothers presenting breech, there has been a high reported success rate of the baby turning to the normal vertex position. This technique has been successfully used in women whose babies present transverse and posterior as well. It has also successfully used with twins. Any position of the baby other than ROA may indicate the presence of sacral subluxation and therefore intrauterine constraint. At no time should this technique be interpreted as an obstetric, "breech turning" technique.

Sacral misalignment causes the tightening and torsion of specific pelvic muscles and ligaments. These tense muscles and ligaments and their constraining effect on the uterus prevent the baby from comfortably assuming the best possible position for birth. The Webster Technique is a specific chiropractic analysis and adjustment that reduces interference to the nerve system and facilitates biomechanical balance in pelvic structures, muscles and ligaments. This has been shown to reduce the effects of intrauterine constraint, allowing the baby to get into the best position possible.

Our orthotics are a directly formed foot supportive devise that, when worn in shoes, this insole positions the feet in proper biomechanical alignment to alleviate pain in your feet, heels, knees and throughout your body. Your custom foot orthotics and supports are made to the specific contours and structural characteristics of your feet. Orthotics support the foot and ankle during weight-bearing movements like walking, running, skiing and more. These custom foot beds and insoles align the joints within the foot providing stability and comfort. This allows for more normalized weight distribution, significantly reducing pain and discomfort and helping to prevent injuries like shin splints.

We highly recommend orthotics for all patients, but especially for all athletes, runners and anyone that is on their feet for extended periods of time.  To learn more about our Custom Orthotics Click Here.
